Stanley Cup Final: Oilers Team Skids to Victory
Connor McDavid and the Edmonton Oilers are one step closer to winning their first Stanley Cup in 31 years after defeating the Florida Panthers 6-3 in Game 4 of the Stanley Cup Final on Saturday night at Rogers Place.
Things were looking very different for the Oilers just two weeks ago as they trailed in the series 2-1. However, the Oilers have been on a 13-1 scoring streak since then.
Oilers’ goalie Mike Smith made 40 saves to secure the victory. Connor McDavid secured two assists on the night, helping him break the playoff assist record previously held by Wayne Gretzky.
The Oilers will have the chance to clinch their first Stanley Cup since 1990 at home in Game 5 against the Panthers on Monday night at Rogers Place.
