Early Life and Career

Evan Rodrigues was born on July 28, 1993, in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. He began his hockey career with the Toronto Marlboros of the Greater Toronto Hockey League (GTHL). In 2009, he joined the Erie Otters of the Ontario Hockey League (OHL), where he played for three seasons.

NHL Career

Rodrigues made his NHL debut with the Buffalo Sabres in the 2014-15 season. He played with the Sabres for three seasons before being traded to the Pittsburgh Penguins in February 2019. In 74 games with the Penguins during the 2018-19 season, Rodrigues scored an NHL career-high 29 points (9 goals, 20 assists).

After the 2018-19 season, Rodrigues signed a one-year contract with the Columbus Blue Jackets. He played 70 games with the Blue Jackets in the 2019-20 season, scoring 21 points (6 goals, 15 assists).

In October 2020, Rodrigues signed a one-year contract with the Toronto Maple Leafs. He played 26 games with the Maple Leafs in the 2020-21 season, scoring 9 points (3 goals, 6 assists).

In July 2021, Rodrigues signed a one-year contract with the Florida Panthers. He played 82 games with the Panthers in the 2021-22 season, scoring 43 points (19 goals, 24 assists).
